The Florida State University, which was founded in 1851, making it the oldest continuous site of higher education in Florida, is dedicated to excellence in teaching, research, creative endeavors, and service. Florida State University’s main campus is located in Florida’s capital, Tallahassee. The FSU Seminoles’ 20 varsity teams compete in the NCAA Division 1 Atlantic Coast Conference. Overall, the Seminoles have won 19 team national championships, more than 100 team conference championships, and numerous individual national and conference titles, making them one of most competitive collegiate athletic programs in the nation. Most recently, the Women’s Soccer became National Champion in the fall of 2021.
